16th Century Niddy Noddy

Isn't this a lovely old picture.
"1660s This old woman with her niddy-noddy is dressed very old fashioned. She wears what is essentially a 16th c. partlet with attached ruff on the neckband. Her head covering is another of the curious tightly bound ones over a small coif."

I found it when I was try to find an old pattern for one of those little lace kerkeifs that women use to where to cover there hair with. But for the life of me I can't find even what they are called, they call it a coif but what I am loking for I think is a bit different.
Anyone know?
I would love to make one. You can just see hers poking out from under her linen head wrap.

I have no clue, but I like the picture, she looks so involved in her project....
